EU Policy and Outreach Partnerships (POP)

The EU Policy and Outreach Partnerships (POP), built under the EU Foreign Policy Instrument (FPI), support the EU to engage with partner country audiences through public diplomacy activities, tools and training. The objective is to improve the understanding of the European project amongst the citizens of partner countries, as well as to deepen the engagement of the EU with future leaders and influencers in key policy areas, including culture.

Currently, 10 EU policy, outreach, and support facilities programmes are implemented with EU partner countries:

• USA – POP (2019-2022)
• Canada – POP (2020-2023)
• Mexico and Central America – POP (2020-2023)
• South America – POP (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay) (2019-2022)
• Russia – POP (2020-2023)
• China – POP (2020-2022)
• Indonesia – POP (2018-2021)
• India – Policy Dialogue Support Facility (2020-2023)
• Republic of Korea – Policy Dialogue Support Facility (2019-2022)
• Japan – Support Facility for the implementation of the EU-Japan Strategic Partnership Agreement (2019-2022)
